Connecting People with Clinical Trials

Today, over a million people are participating in Pfizer’s clinical trials around the world. Every medicine and vaccine we have today was tested in clinical trials. However, for patients, finding the right clinical trial and figuring out how to participate is complicated and tedious.

To facilitate a more user-friendly enrollment process, accelerate recruitment, and ultimately bring new medicines to the world faster, Pfizer Global Product Development asked us to design an experience that connects patients with clinical trials that are right for them.

PfizerLink is a matching service that guides users through a health questionnaire and legal information to make an informed decision about participating. Once registered, users can see their matching status in the profile section. The MVP launched in early 2023, accompanied by a social media campaign, and attracted over 200,000 users in just a few months. Based on qualitative and quantitative user analytics, we continuously iterated on the design and successively introduced new features.
